Through the Eyes of a Soldier . . .

Our man Jethro received an impromptu applause from his teacher and classmates today for his piece of writing. Check this out!!!

I was advancing towards the German trenches in 1915. I heard shells cracking like party poppers in all directions. I saw machine guns blasting bullets from the trenches. I wondered if I was going to get shot by a sniper . . .  Then at that exact moment I felt a shell make a massive explosion right in front of me. I was so frightened that I fainted and was carried away by a stretcher bearer to a nearby medic.
