Class Meeting Week 2

Today we had our first class meeting. Thank you Cassie and Hunter for leading it.
Every Friday we are going to meet - everyone will get a turn to lead a meeting.
The Agenda we came up with together was:

Ideas for the Classroom
Job cards need to be made up for the new jobs
The Yellow Zone needs done
Places to silent read other than our desks
New cubbies
Word Power
Laptop time to finish our work

Things we are happy about
 - class timetable
 - strike system
 - maths and reading google site and our maths rotations

Things we are unhappy about
 - our cubbies
- people talking on the mat
 - our lanterns didn't get hung up
 - fighting between girls
 - people are not looking after their belongings or respecting their things

Book Club
Nicole brought 2 books from home to share with anyone that is looking for something new to read.
Sophie has kindly offered to donate her Diary of a Wimpy Kids series to the school library.

Looking ahead to next week . . .
Next week we will be doing some training for the upcoming Rippa Tournament. One reading group is going to have a turn with the programme Garage Band to record an audio play and Emily and Nicole will lead the class meeting.

Reviewing the week that was
We enjoyed Word Work
We were surprised at how much we knew about China!
There were not many strikes given out this week - good work team!
It was great that Sophie and Nicole got to plan their class treat.
Daniel said "Maths is going really well - everyone has been doing hard work and concentrating."
Logan said "MMM really helps you with your normal Maths."
Chris said "We are loving writing our Outback Australia story on google docs together - each person can see what each other has written."

Danny D's World Trip

Today is Daniel's last day at school before he heads off on a world trip with his family. Daniel has made his own travel blog - brilliant idea!
